ZGSZ - Bao´on Intl Airport - Shenzhen, China

Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport (formerly named Shenzhen Huangtian Airport) is located near Huangtian and Fuyong villages in Bao'an District, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. It is 32 km northwest of the city center. It is the hub for Shenzhen Airlines, Shenzhen Donghai Airlines, SF Airlines, Jade Cargo International and a focus city for China Southern Airlines and Hainan Airlines. The airport also serves as an Asian-Pacific cargo hub for UPS Airlines.

The airport is undergoing major expansion with a new terminal under construction. A second runway was also recently completed. It is one of the three largest airport hubs serving southern China, alongside Hong Kong International Airport and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.

Using ADEx 1.50, SBuilderX, aeronautical maps and Google Earth (2011) all these changes have been built into the default FSX airport to better reflect today´s situation. It will be updated accordingly as construction progresses.

INSTALLATION

With this package you will find 5 .bgl files. You need all of them:

1. Copy/place the ZGSZ_ADEX_MR.bgl and ZGSZ_ADEX_MR_CVX.bgl file in your Addon Scenery/scenery folder of FSX.

2. Copy/place the ZGSZ_ADEX_MR_OBJ.bgl file into the Scenery/GLOBAL/Scenery folder of FSX.

3. Since land had to be claimed from the lake to build the new runway, new shorelines have been defined for FSX. Also, a bridge is added together with the appropriate landclass. This is stored in 2 new files.
Copy/place the ZGSZ_CVX.bgl and ZGSZ_EXT.bgl files in your Addon Scenery/scenery folder of FSX.
If this is not done correctly runway 16/34 will be in the water.

4. There are jetway extensions, and to see these you need to add the textures for them, please follow these steps:
NOTE: If you have already done this with any other airport then this step is not necessary.

Browse to the FSX\Scenery\NAME\Texture folder. Go down the list until you see jfk_jetway.dds (day texture) and jfk_jetway_LM.dds (night texture). "COPY" them from that folder and "PASTE" them into the Scenery\Global\Texture folder.

Uninstalling can be done by removing all files from their directories.

This file is tested and should not harm your computer but use this file at your own risk.

Special thanks go out to the ADE forum for helping me with SBuilderX to draw the new shorelines!
